You might not know this about me but I am a big fan of the Reacher novels.
Name: Jack Reacher (no middle name)
Born: October 29th
Measurements: 6'5", 220-250 lbs., 50" chest
Hair: Dirty-blond
Eyes: Ice blue
Clothing: 3XLT coat, 95 cm. pants' inseam
Reacher left home at 18, graduated from West Point. Performed 13 years of Army service, demoted from Major to Captain in 1990, mustered out with the rank of Major in 1997.
Maybe I'm the last to know but filming of the Jack Reacher book #9 "One Shot" will begin in the fall.
So, who is to play Reacher?

Reading through some of the comments left on the web sites forum TC is not a popular choice it would seem and I would agree.
As I read the books I always imagined Reacher to look like this.

Some people have suggested other actors for the role most of whom I haven't heard of, but after some Googling, perhaps they have a point.

Maybe you wouldn't choose any of the actors pictured and have your own idea of who should take the role.

Definitely not a man who is just a little over 5 ft tall! Any of the others pictured would have been a better choice.
I don't think Tom Cruise is the right choice for anything. Can't stand him.
Daniel Craig sounds much better. Or Viggo Mortensen. Or Ruppert Penry Jones.
Ugh! Yuck...do not like TC! It is aggravating to fans when the wrong type of actor is chosen. I'm with everyone else, another actor whould have been true to the character description.

Oh no! Not Tom. He's too SHORT!!!! And I don't like him anyway. Craig is taller, but he's not right either.
When I think of Shrieber, I think of a kooky and funny old Steve Martin movie called Mixed Nuts where Shrieber played a cross-dresser. :)
I've never read those books, but as much as I can't stand Tom Cruise, I can definitely sympathize with your reaction to the choice!! I like your choice of Daniel Craig!
I was horrified when I read about Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher. I just read every one of the Lee Child books this summer.
Ridiculous choice. I'd say Daniel Craig, but he's not real tall - what about Liam Neeson?
